Colored canyon and Dahab
If you really want to visit one of the most beautiful sights of the Sinai Desert, do not miss the Colored Canyon. This jewel of nature was created by an ancient river passing between the colour rocks from which it takes its name. The 40m high sand stone canyon walls are amazingly pigmented by ferric oxide and manganese which offer an incredible range of nuances from dark brown to red, ochre and yellow. Two hours of trekking dipped in a magnificent kaleidoscope of colors from which emerge curious shapes, sometimes due to the rocks’ tones, some others to the walls conformation. Walking among narrow passages and unexpected differences of height, make this trail particularly interesting and enjoyable, you will experience a lot of thrills and surprises, till arriving at your final destination where a valley suddenly opens in front of you. The two hours trekking inside the Canyon is over, but the special emotions and the nearly fairy-tales scenery is calling your soul back for another appointment with this desert wonder. On the way back, from the valley you will climb until the top of Ghaziani Mount, where the breathtaking landscape of the Aqaba Gulf and Saudi Arabia coastline is waiting for your heart. Another, unforgettable, emotion. At the bottom of the Mountain, in the distance, lays the Bedwin village of Neweba, destination for tourist and travelers looking for a true contact with nature and the local culture. There you will enjoy a tasty lunch in a traditional restaurant by the sea. Neweba is a place that will remain in your heart. Returning to Sharm el Sheikh you will stop en route in Dahab where it is possible to buy some traditional products.
